(COSHE)
The
COSHE is a 4 months programme conducted
by the Malaysian Association of Productivity (MAP)
in collaboration with Asian Institute of Productivity
and Quality Management (AIPQM), with the approval
of the Department of Occupational Safety and Health
(DOSH).
Successful
participants will be awarded the Certificate in Occupational
Safety, Health Environment by the National Institute
of Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH) while
the certificate of attendance will be awarded by AIPQM.
OBJECTIVE
This programme is designed to meet the significants of the
individual, company and the country’s needs in line
with the provisions under:
- Occupational
Safety Health Act 1994 (Act 514)
- Factories
and Machinery Act 1967 (Act 316)
- Environmental
Quality Act 1974 (Act 127)
It provides
an opportunity for participants to discover the importance
of ensuring a ‘safe working environment’.
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE
- Acquired
practical understanding in the development of a proper safety
management system.
- An
ability to analyze present systems, needs and identify hazards;
and most importantly
- Gain
practical exposure, knowledge and know-how in performing
the task as a Safety, Health & Environment Representative
effectively.

Pontian.

ADMISSION
REQUIREMENTS –
either one of the following
- HSC
/ STPM / A-Level ;
- MCE
/ SPM / O-Level
PROGRAMME SESSION
The training will be conducted on weekends from 9.30 a.m.-5.30
p.m.
The whole training sessions will consume approximately 119
hours.
- 60%
of the session comprises of participative classroom lectures
and discussions supplemented with video presentations and
necessary teaching aids.
- 35%
will be practical exercises including case studies, workshops
& presentations, critiques and mock examinations.
- 5%
is allocated for site visits to reputable organizations.
