GENERAL INFORMATION

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • STPM / A Level with minimum 2 principal passes and 1 year working experience ; or
  • SPM / O Level pass; with 3 years experience
  • Other Certificate holders will be required to sit for an entry qualifying test.


COURSE CONTENTS

FOUNDATION STAGE
Module 1 : The Purchasing Environment
Module 2 : Business Organisation and Processes in Purchasing and Supply
Module 3 : Managing Human Resources in Purchasing and Supply
Module 4 : Business Analysis in Purchasing and Supply
Module 5 : Legal and Procurement Processes
Module 6 : Introduction to Supply and Materials Management

PROFESSIONAL STAGE
The Professional Stage consists of a possible 12 subjects. A student must take 4 core subjects (compulsory) and any other four, at least one of which must be a Supply Chain Management Option.


CORE SUBJECTS
Module 7: Strategy and Strategic Procurement
Module 8 : Tactics and Operations
Module 9 : Legal Aspects for Purchasing and Supply Chain Management
Module 10 : Case Study in Purchasing and Supply


SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT OPTIONS

  • Storage and Distribution in Supply Chain
  • Commercial Relationships
  • The Research Project in Purchasing and Supply (double module)


ELECTIVE SUBJECTS

  • Operations Management
  • Marketing
  • Project Management and Contracts
  • Management for Purchasing and Supply
  • Retail Merchandise Management
  • International Supply Chain Management


COURSE STRUCTURE

Total number of sessions : 50
Total number of Modules :14
Lectures days and hours : 7 hrs / week
Duration : 18-24 months (weekends)


LANGUAGE

This programme will be conducted in English and therefore fluency in the language is essential.

Successful participants will be awarded the PROFESSIONAL GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN PURCHASING AND SUPPLY, U.K.
