The PQE (ADLM) is a 23 months programme conducted by the Malaysian Association of Productivity (MAP) in collaboration with The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) and the Asian Institute of Productivity and Quality Management (AIPQM) and Examinations by UiTM.

Successful participants will be awarded the Professional Qualifying Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport U.K. This award is the pathway for the CILT, which is recognized by the Malaysian Government as an equivalent to a HON. DEGREE in a local university.

OBJECTIVE
The objectives of this programme is to develop a body of professionals with the knowledge and ability to strategize, plan, implement and sustain logistical competency training within the competitive industry.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE

  • An ability to analyze present systems and identify cost and profit centers, deficiencies and institute remedial solution to improve productivity.
  • Formulate strategies to improve existing system through modification or introducing new and more cost effective systems taking into consideration the larger Supply Chain Operations.
  • Knowledge of new technologies and concepts to make cutting edge decisions for the future.
  • An understanding of the operations and functions of the total logistics chain, including aspects involving human resource management, economics and finance; and most importantly
  • Understand the principle laws governing regulations and accountability when dealing with staff in a logistics environment so as to be able to implement effective organizational objectives with minimal discord thus maintaining harmony in the work environment.

  • Executive and Managers of other disciplines who need to enhance their knowledge and skills in logistic management

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Competency based programme with focus on application at worksite, taught by qualified professionals with years of industrial experience.
  • Curriculum comprises of 13 modules (see below), covering all aspects of Logistical Management.
  • Notes, text books and course file containing all relevant information to the course (examination procedures, admin course information, class dates, etc.) is given at the launch of the class.
  • All faculty members are academically qualified with at least 10 years practical working experience.
  • Classes are held on weekends (Saturday &/or Sunday).
  • The various venues classes are held at are
    Petaling Jaya, Penang, Kota Bahru, Kuantan, Johor Bahru, Melaka (ALAM),
    Sibu, Miri, Bintulu, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Batu Pahat, & Pontian.
    NOTE: for Corporate Clients (in-house course) the class venue would be your choice.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS– either one of the following
• Degree in any discipline and 2 years working experience;
• STPM/A-levels with a minimum of 2 principals and 3 years working experience;
• Participants who have successfully completed the Certificate in Logistics Management;
• Other certificate holders will be required to sit for an entry qualifying test;
• SPM or O’ Level participants with a minimum of 5 years working experience.

MODULE 13: TRANSPORT PLANNING

MODULE 14: PRACTICUM (PROJECT PAPER)

Apart from the written Examination, candidates may also be required to do an assignment for the various subjects. All candidates must submit the assignments before they sit for the written examinations. Any candidate who has not passed all assignments and achieved at least 50% average mark will not be allowed to sit for the written examination of the subject concerned.
